Stamping for fun?

Hello Friends,

Happy Labor Day!
I spent some time in the studio recently creating a card for a very special wedding we attended yesterday. Usually I sis down with a design in my head with an end product in mind.  This card  wasn’t one where I was trying to make a project that is easy to reproduce.  Sometimes it’s fun to really add all of the bells and whistles.  I just stamped to my heart’s content and I LOVE how it turned out.
Since Covid is still a big, gray cloud over all events, it’s challenging to plan anything….especially a wedding.  We are so honored to be included in the small group of friends who will be attending.  I really wanted to make something special for the bride and groom and I hope they like it.

I love, love, LOVE the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (152494).  There are so many gorgeous textures and it has a fun, rustic feel.  The design I chose has a touch of Rococo Rose in and it felt perfect for this card.  The Forever Fern stamp set worked perfectly along with the coordinating dies.  I added a fun pocket to hold the money and then made a spot on top with space to write our message and signature.

The card is a slim line design which I love.  I thought it paired perfectly with the Champagne Foil.  I made a matching envelope with a cool closure too.  Envelope measurements: Designer Series Paper 9-1/4″ x 11-3/4″  Score on the short side at 2-3/8″ and 6-1/2″.  Score on the long edge at 1-1/2″ and 11″.

If you’d like to watch a step-by-step tutorial, check out my Facebook Live HERE where I create another card with this design.

All of the supplies I used are listed below.  To add items to your shopping cart, just click on the image of the products you want to order.  Easy, peasy.
Wishing you plenty of time to get your fingers inky and a wonderful week ahead.
Stampin’ Hugs,
Michelle
