Hello, my friends!
What a whirl wind week it’s been. I came home from Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference in Orlando on Sunday and I hit the ground running. Back to work on Monday morning and I never stopped…until 4 p.m. this afternoon when I got home from work and Linz said, “Mom, do you wanna schmoodge”? (our word for snuggle) Well, you don’t have to ask ME twice. We went upstairs and snuggled under the covers and we both fell asleep!! It was AWESOME! So once we were up and at ’em again we made “breakfast for dinner”. YUM! I’ve been planning on catching you up on all the news about Leadership and finally tonight is the night! Woot!
I left a week ago Wednesday for the conference and I was happy to get there a day early for a little sunshine and “down time” before the conference began. Man, oh MAN was THAT the right decision. The weather could not have been better. I left my winter coat and scarves here in Virginia and traded them for my shorts and capris for after hours. It felt amazing.

It was so awesome seeing some of my wonderful SU! friends…some I hadn’t met yet! Something AMAZING happened too! I went to my last class of the conference and was looking for a seat. While I was standing there in the aisle I heard someone say my name. I turned around and saw a smiling face of a wonderful “friend I hadn’t met yet” who reads my blog!! *Let me just say that it still seems SO surreal that people from far away places are reading my blog…not just my mom!* I really did get choked up just chatting with the wonderful ladies and knowing that they really are “friends”.

They are such sweet friends and I can’t wait to visit with them again in July! (Hint…Hint!)
I am a member of a terrific group of talented ladies called the “GoDivas”. We participate in swaps together and we got together on Day One for our Leadership swap. Here we are….
Some of our GoDivas….an amazing swap group started by my friend and upline, Robin Merriman |
This was the card that I designed for the GoDivas swap at Leadership |
These were my “General Swaps”…I made 75 of them!! |
We had some terrific presentations in our General Sessions. I’m always amazed at all that Stampin’ Up! puts into their events. The generosity and attention to detail is just phenomenal. There were SO many giveaways and freebies that I had to have Mike bring me an extra suitcase when he flew down to meet me!! Speaking of which…. Did I tell you about THAT?
Well…it turned out that Mike was going to be visiting a contractor down in Melbourne, FL the week after my conference. Soooooo….He surprised me (before the trip) and booked his flight down a couple of days early so he could pick my up at the Convention Center after my last session and we could head over to Disney for a “destination date night” Saturday night and Sunday before I flew back home Sunday night! It was A M A Z I N G!
I was on a break before my last session on Saturday afternoon and I get a text from him asking me where I was. Next thing I know….I see his smiling face out in front of the convention center!!
I swear…my heart was pounding like it did when he used to come home from college for the weekend!! LOL (I’m SO lame, I know!) Anyway…after the last session, he came inside and got to meet lots of my friends and some of the SU! corporate team. He was SO thrilled!! No lie! I seriously think he’d come to Convention with me if he could.

Ok….This will be continued….I’ll have photos of our “Destination Date” at Disney!! *We stayed at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa!!….AND we visited NEW Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom!* It was MAGICAL!!!
