Suitably Stamped with Michelle Suit
You can't use up creativity....the more you use...the more you have.
Hey there, Stampin’ Peeps!
I don’t know about you…but I’m ready to feel that warm spring sunshine in my bones. I’m ready to relax in the hammock on the deck and listen to the sounds of spring. Since it’s supposed to be in the “teens” here tomorrow morning I thought I’d better create some spring here in my stampin’ studio.
I love perusing Pinterest and I’m excited to see all the bright and cheery ideas that are popping up for Spring and Easter. (Are you dreaming along with me on Pinterest? Come on in! The water’s fine! You can follow me “Suitably Stamped-Michelle Suit) I’ll be sharing some new projects soon that were inspired by some that I’ve picked as favorites. But now I want to share a fun project that I hope you’ll like. It’s called “Spring Chicks and Place Cards”.
I recently met an awesome stamper who is a terrific friend and a brand new team member on our Trinity Design Stamping Team named Kim Fields. Kim created some adorable little birds and I just fell in love with them. I decided to take them and change them a little (because that’s what we do…).
Here’s what I came up with…
Aren’t they sweet? I just sketched out the shape for the bird body and wing and transferred it to a scrap of cardboard to make a reusable template. I then found some scraps of Designer Series Paper (this paper is from a retired suite). You could use any design really. You could even use card stock in your favorite spring colors and emboss them with one (or more) of the Embossing Folders. The possibilities are endless.
The beak is punched from the Heart punch and adhered between the two layers. The feet are made with 2 paper clips just opened up and glued inside between the front and back layers. The eyes are actually the Basic Pearls. I made them black by coloring them with a black Sharpie and letting them dry. How cool is THAT?? You can make pearls in any color you’d like. Woot!
The place card is made from a scrap of Pool Party Core’dinations card stock (#129321). It’s embossed with the “Honeycomb” Embossing Folder (#129378). I think that’s so stinkin’ cute! It reminds me of chicken wire. Right?? The Soft Suede tag and flower were made using the Pop Up Posies Designer Kit from the Spring Catalog (#131395) It has SO many parts and pieces to create a bunch of fun projects. Here’s a peek at what you get with the kit…
It’s just awesome. I have a few other projects to share with you that I’ve created with my kit. Stay tuned.
Ok…are you ready for spring NOW? Head over to my Online Stampin’ Store and get everything you need to make your Spring and Easter the most special one ever.

Stamped Blessings,
Hello Peeps! Happy Wednesday!
Ok…I’ve had today’s punch art idea floating around in my head for about a week now and it feels SO good to finally get it “done”. If you’ve seen my recent projects, you’ve probably noticed that my body might be in Virginia but my heart is in Orlando. 🙂 More specifically….Disney World.
I decided to use the punch art creation I made as the focal point for a scrapbook page. It fit in perfectly with the stamped sentiment I wanted to use and it’s definitely the right theme. I have some adorable photos from Lindsay’s graduation photo session and I haven’t gotten them into a scrapbook yet. So….this was the first step towards that goal.
All right….enough chatting….let’s get to the punch art!!

Hello, stampin’ friends!
Spring is springin’ and the birds are singin’… FINALLY! I had a great weekend that included fun family time, a terrific stamping get-together with ladies from Trinity Design Stampers and Stamping With Style. I was excited and honored to win a card contest with a new wedding card and also to win the Judge’s Choice Award out of all categories! Here’s my card:
“Very Vintage Bridal” in Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla |
I love the flower trim that’s in the Spring Catalog – it’s so vintage and absolutely elegant. The skirt was made with the 5/8″ flower trim. It comes in a yummy vanilla color and is easy to transform into any color of the rainbow.
Here’s what it looks like:

Now on to today’s project… Here’s a fun project with a new punch art critter that I created for a recent Easter card swap. Meet Delilah! Delilah is peeking through the rabbit hole, checking to make sure that her Easter eggs are safe and sound… the Easter Eggs were created using the XL Oval Punch and then each one was embossed with a different embossing folder. I don’t know about you, but Delilah and I are ready for Spring!
