Harvest Hellos with a “Swoosh”

Happy Tuesday Friends!

Today’s projects feature a favorite of mine from the annual catalog.  The Harvest Hellos stamp set coordinates perfectly with the Apple Builder Punch.  Woot!  Not only are the apples and pumpkins easy to create and punch out…the sentiments are terrific and look like they were typed on a typewriter.  Love it!

I created three samples for you and all of them use some of the gorgeous Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper.  It’s like they were “MFEO”…Made For Each Other.  (a reference to one of my all time favorite rom coms….Sleepless in Seattle) 😉

I created a fun color coordinated cardstock swatch for each of the cards using the “Swoosh” technique.  I love how it turned out and I love that’s it’s easy to make.

Start with a piece of neutral cardstock…I chose Whisper White…and a Stampin’ Spot (Stampin’ Spots are 1″ x 1″ individual stamp pads.  They can be purchased uninked and you are able to use whichever reinker you’d like to ink them up.  Also, all Paper Pumpkin subscribers receive on in each of their monthly kits.  (Fun Fact:  The colored spots in Paper Pumpkin kits don’t repeat in a 12 month period so you’ll get a nice variety to choose from for alternate projects.)
Next, you’ll start off of the paper on the left side and, using gentle pressure, you will simply make a “swooshing” motion across to the other side of the paper and off of the right edge.  It’s as easy as that.
Repeat as shown to cover the remaining blank space.
For a little added fun you can use multiple colors.  SO fun!
Here are the supplies I used for today’s projects.  They are all available at my Online Store.

Wood Words – Thanks a Bunch

Thanks a Bunch!

Well, I’m still here…just in case you were wondering.  For those of you who are local or those who follow me on Facebook, you know that it’s been quite eventful around here for the last couple of months.  My husband, Mike, had an accident and not only broke two bones in his ankle but he also severed his quad muscle in the same leg.  He had to have a very long surgery to repair everything and will be recovering for quite some time.  Two days after his surgery my dad had a heart attack.  We are praising God that they are both healing nicely and we continue to feel blessed beyond measure.
I’m trying to get back into my regular routine here in the studio and also with classes and events.  Speaking of which, Burgers and Cards is THIS Tuesday evening from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.  I moved it up a week because of Halloween.  The next one will be the last Tuesday of the month as usual.
If you’d like to join us, you’ll find all of the details and also be able to RSVP at http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/suitablystamped/events?id=1242441
Here are the supplies I used to create this beauty.  To order, just click on the image and you’ll be taken right to my Online Store.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend,
Michelle

What’s Up, Wednesday?

Hump Day isn’t so bad when you can stamp something!

What’s Up, Wednesday?

It is a rainy, gloomy day here today and I was so happy to find a little color to cheer things up a bit in the studio.  I love the way that Peekaboo Peach and Tangerine Tango on today’s card just pop off of the page. Below you’ll find a step by step tutorial on how to make some of your own.  I hope it brightens your day!  As always, all supplies are available at my Online Store at http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/suitablystamped/

Wishing you inky fingers and smiles ahead,
Michelle
