Mini Gift Bag with Card Hanger

How sweet is this Mini Gift Bag with the card included on the front?
It’s the perfect size for small gifts and it’s even got a sweet enclosure card hanging on the front.
The new Seaside Spray Designer Series Paper comes from a 6″ x 6″ paper stack that showcases all five new In Colors with four fun patterns in each.  The pop of Terracotta Tile on the front just brings the whole look together.
I love that Stampin’ Up! also has coordinating  Scallop Edge Linen Ribbon and Faceted Gems in all five colors.  That’s one of the many awesome things about SU!….everything coordinates and takes the guessing out of creating.

Amazing Life -Spring Has Sprung!

Spring has SPRUNG!!

Wahooooo!!!  I know it’s still VERY chilly out there but there’s hope.  Beautiful, warm, sunny days are on the horizon and spring flowers have already started to pop up here and there.

I’ve had a lot of fun getting spring underway in the studio.  I’ve been loving the VERY popular Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper.  You just can’t be more “springy” than gingham, right?  All of the colors in the stack are just lovely.  It includes, Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and Peekaboo Peach.  It pairs perfectly with the “Amazing Life” stamp set.  The images are versatile and so pretty.

Christmas Happiness

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas outside but it’s cozy here in the studio today.  I’ve been working on cards for some very special people and I thought I’d share one of the designs with you today.

I can’t even tell you how much I LOVE the Cable Knit Dynamic Embossing Folder.  Ugh!  It’s it GORGEOUS!  It’s the perfect background for this card.  Don’t you think?

Sending Thoughts….

The Sending Thoughts stamp set (in my humble opinion) is one that gets overlooked quite often in the Occasions Catalog (page 44).  It has some of the sweetest sentiments and it so versatile and (again…in my humble opinion) is definitely a keeper.  I love it even more paired with the beautiful Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper.  Oh!  And those sweet dragonflies!  Ugh….gorgeous!

Inlaid Dragonfly Card

  • Stamp Sets – Dragonfly Dreams (142924-Photopolymer), Sending Thoughts (142962-Wood, 142965-Clear)
  • Card Stock – Whisper White Thick (140272), Whisper White (100730), Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper (142778)
  • Stamp Pads – Smokey Slate (131179), Calypso Coral (126983)
  • Misc. –   Calypso Coral Thick Baker’s Twine (138412), Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies (142749), Big Shot (143263), Liquid Multipurpose Glue (110755)
  • Bundle & Save 144728 Stamp Set & Framelits
           Measurements: 
  • Whisper White Thick 5-1/2 x 8-1/2
  • Whisper White 4 x 5-1/4
  • Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper 1/2 x 5-1/4

           Instructions:

  1. Die cut dragonflies from Whisper White front layer (4 x 5-1/4).
  2. Stamp greeting on same layer with Smokey Slate ink.
  3. Adhere strip of designer series paper to left side.
  4. Stamp dotted image in Calypso Coral ink on card front several times so it will show under the die cut dragonfly images.
  5. Adhere front layer to card base.
  6. Glue die cut dragonflies back into place by placing glue behind the bodies of the dragonflies only – this allows the wings and tails to pop up a little bit.
  7. Tie Calypso Coral Thich Baker’s Twine around card as shown.
  8. Stamp “I know you’re sick & tired of being sick & tired…” with Smokey Slate ink on the inside of card.
  9. Stamp large dragonfly in Calypso Coral ink on inside bottom right corner.
  10. Enjoy!

I have a fun shaker card to share with you today.  I realized that I hadn’t given my “Jar of Cheer” stamp set much attention so far and I definitely needed to change that.  It’s such a stinkin’ cute set and even better than that…it coordinates with the Everyday Jars Framelits.  Score!

Merry Mice

Happy Thursday, Peeps!

One of the very first stamp sets I ordered from the current Holiday Catalog was “Merry Mice”.  It is so stinkin’ cute!  The images are beautiful simply stamped as outline images and even more so when they are colored in.  One of the best things about this set though is that it’s on sale for 25% off until November 30th along with some other awesome sets.  You can see them all listed at the end of this post.  First, let me show you a card I created using Merry Mice and some of the images that inspired me from Pinterest too.

What’s Up, Wednesday?

It is a rainy, gloomy day here today and I was so happy to find a little color to cheer things up a bit in the studio.  I love the way that Peekaboo Peach and Tangerine Tango on today’s card just pop off of the page. Measurements:
Pear Pizzazz CS:     8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, 3 ¼” x 4 ¼ “
Whisper White CS: 3” x 4”
Designer Paper: 4 x 5 ¼ “
Glimmer paper ¾ x 4”
Peekaboo Peach and Tangerine Tango scraps.
          
Instructions:
  • Create your card base by scoring a pear pizzazz cs piece at 4 ¼”. Adhere designer paper to card front and glimmer paper in the center.
  • Stamp large flower in Peekaboo peach in top right corner of whisper white cs. Stamp sentiment in pear pizazz toward the bottom and 3 sets of the leaves around the flower.
  • Adhere stamped white piece to the 3 ¼ x 4 ¼“ pear pizazz cs. Attach to the card with dimensionals.
  • Cut medium flower from peekaboo peach and larger from tangerine tango scraps using thinlits and Big Shot. Layer on top of each other and adhere to card with glue dots. Add rhinestones to the center of 2 flowers.
