Happy Wednesday!
Wow! What an exciting week! Sale A Bration started yesterday and there were several NEW product announcements too. I have another post to follow this one with all of the details so be sure to check back for all the “nitty gritty”.
I wanted to be able to post this project for you as soon as possible. I am SO stinkin’ excited about it. My friend, Teena, sent me a terrific video tutorial from a fellow demonstrator who’s from Australia showing the basics for this card design. Her name is Tanya Bell. I know that in her video she said that she wasn’t the original designer either. I’m a stickler about giving credit where credit is due so….”Thank you to the other designer…” (I hope she sees what I’ve come up with…)
This is the coolest card. It’s a version of a “pop up” card and it’s definitely one that will get those “Ooohs and Aahs” when the recipient opens it up. You can add any stamps and DSP to yours to get a totally different look and/or theme every time you make one. I used one of our adorable Valentine stamp sets called “Follow My Heart”. Are you ready to see what I came up with?? Ok….Here you go!
Isn’t that cool?? I wish I could open and close it for you “Live” just to see your reaction because it is just SO awesome. Now…you won’t believe this but it actually folds right up so that it’s flat and fits in a regular envelope. Can you believe it?? I couldn’t either!
Here’s a closer look at the top with the embellishments I made…
I love the stamp set. I also LOVE the banner. I created it using the FREE Banner Punch from Sale A Bration. Yep….I got it for FREE. Details will be on my next blog post. For info right away, you can go to my Online Store and read all about it.
Here’s a photo of the card folded up and ready to go into the envelope I created for it….
Now I would put extra postage on it just because it is pretty thick. You can also just have it stamped by hand at the post office to be extra sure.
Alrighty…I’m headed to bed even thought it’s still snowing outside and only 12 degrees! I hoping that in a few short hours my phone will ring and the recorded voice will say that school will be closed or at even a delay would be nice.
Wishing you a magical Wednesday,
