Happy Sunday!!
Sorry I’ve been MIA for a couple days. The floor in my new studio is almost complete and I’ve been trying to move a few things back in so I can work up there. It’s going to be beautiful!
Mike has done a fabulous job. I’ll be taking photos and posting them soon.
Thanks to all of you who voted for the next “Suitably Punched Disney Princess”. It was pretty easy to see which ones were the favorites. The top two are Anna and Elsa from Disney’s “Frozen”! WOOT! It seems like the soundtrack is either playing in the house here or in my car constantly and when it’s not….Linz is singing “Let It Go” and “Do You Wanna Build a Snowman” (with FEELING….aka LOUDLY!).
We will definitely be at the store at the front of the line when the Blu Ray goes on sale. LOVE IT!
So….are you ready to see “Anna”? I have to tell you that she is probably my new favorite.
*DRUMROLL*
What do you think?? Her dress is definitely 3D and I love all of the layers. I used it as part of a decor piece and I’ll be hanging it with the other Suitably Punched Disney Princesses in my studio.
The completed piece is a 5″ x 5″ canvas. I covered it with a piece of the leftover DSP from the “Winter Frost” DSP collection. I then used the smallest snowflake from the “Snowflake Soiree” stamp set (#127925) and stamped them on a piece of vellum with Versamark ink and embossed them with the Pewter Embossing Powder (#124114). That was after I stamped the “Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful” sentiment from the “Perfect Pennants” stamp set (Wood Mount #13327/Clear Mount #133230) in Versamark and embossing it the same way. I adhered the vellum piece on top of the DSP with SNAIL adhesive that’s hidden under a few of the snowflakes.
Now…in case you’re wondering…I WILL be offering a brand new tutorial for “Anna’s Dress”. She will join Cinderella, Snow White and Belle. If you’d like to order any of the original three princess tutorials, just go back to the top of this page here on my blog and click on the “Tutorials For Sale” tab.
Ok….I’m off for a little adventure today to get a few things accomplished before the week ahead.
I hope whatever you are doing today that you can take time to do something creative and get your fingers a little “inky”.
Wishing you a magical day,
