The Carousel Birthday stamp set was definitely at the top of my wish list when I first started going through the New Occasions Catalog. It just has a sweet, vintage feel about it and I can almost hear Mary Poppins chattering away. LOL Not only did I fall in love with the stamp designs…then I saw the Cupcakes and Carousels Designer Paper Stack! Oh…my…goodness! It’s just yummy! Elftastic News! 2016 Christmas Card Marathon

Flourishing Thanks
Happy Monday, Friends!
I can’t believe that it’s August already. Whew! This year is just flying by. I’ve been busy working on new designs to share with you and I have to tell you that I’m just loving the new “Flourish Thinlits”. I’ve only just started experimenting with them and I can’t seem to get enough of them!
These sweet “Thank You” cards are really quick and easy to put together. They would be a lovely gift for a bride to be or maybe a mommy to be. They can be made with any color of the rainbow and still make a statement.
Now, you may be wondering how I got the “spatter” on the background. Well, I just took the cap off of the brush end of my Black Stampin’ Write Marker and used a “flicking” motion with the brush against the edge of the cap, pointing it at the cardstock. You can add as much or as little as you’d like. I think it just adds a fun layer to the design.

This fun Z-fold card just oozes summer if you ask me.
Here’s a close up with the gorgeous “Wink of Stella” glistening in the light.
I love how easy the jar came together. The large jar image was stamped in Archival Black Ink directly onto a piece of the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper and then cut out. The jar’s lid was stamped in Versamark ink and then heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder and then cut out using the Everyday Jars Framelits. The Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine finishes it off nicely I think.

Summer and Starfish and Sand…Oh, My!
Happy July! I’m not quite sure where June went but July arrived right on time. It’s been crazy busy here and I must admit that I need to get new running shoes just to keep up. Whew! The New Idea Book and Catalog has really inspired me and my creative juices are in full force. If you don’t have a copy yet, we need to fix that asap because it’s just full of creative inspiration.
Today’s card was created using two of my favorite sets….Timeless Textures and Picture Perfect. They go together like peanut butter and jelly! Another favorite of mine is the new Serene Scenery Paper Stack. It is absolutely gorgeous and it’s definitely one of those stacks where you’ll want to use BOTH sides of the paper. Decisions…decisions…..

Measurements:
o Pool Party – 4 1/4″ x 11″
o Soft Suede – 3 1/8” x 4 7/8”
o Serene Scenery DSP Stack 3” x 4 ¾”
o Whisper White – 3 1/8” x 3 1/8”
Instructions:
- Score and burnish fold on base card.
- Stamp Grid stamp in Soft Suede from Timeless Textures onto Patterned piece and continue onto base card. Stamp Leaf stamp in Garden Green onto patterned piece from right hand side going towards centre and up. Stamp small spotty stamp from Timeless Textures over patterned piece and base card where grid has been stamped. Stamp sentiment from Picture Perfect on Patterned piece in the top left. Adhere patterned piece to Soft Suede piece with Fast Fuse.
- Draw a line of glue with the Fine Tip Glue pen 1” from bottom of patterned layer and affix Lace trim to panel. Using Tear n Tape adhere Burlap ribbon slighty overlapping the top of the lace trim. Adhere this panel to base card using Dimensionals
- Stamp your Starfish. Top Starfish is in Dapper Denim and base Starfish is Soft Sky. TIP: I find it easier to line up if I do the darker stamp first – much easier to see than a paler colour through the block and photopolymer rubber. Cut out with paper snips.
- Scrunch your Navy Baker’s Twine up and place on panel – it’s ok to be messy here – don’t use any glue/adhesive to stick this down – you just want it messy and in a circle. Affix Dimensionals to the back of your StarFish and place over your ‘messy’ twine. The Dimensionals will hold your twine in place – use extra dimensionals on the back of the starfish so you hold all the twine.
- Decorate your card with Navy Enamel dots and Rhinestones.
